Rudolph Hand-Applique Skirt

Y'all, I have been going Cah-razy on bed rest. I needed to craft! So I had to research some things that I can do from my bed. Then I found this tutorial from Samster Mommy and fell in love! I showed it to Charlotte and she had a request. She wanted a Rudolph skirt to go with her sequin shirt. Thus, the felt Rudolph was born:
I must say I am quite pleased with how the shirt came out! I am usually MUCH to impatient to sit down and hand sew sequins to anything, and therefor I've never used them before. But this was the perfect bed rest project. Now I have to make one for Sweet Caroline!
This girl was SO HAPPY when she got dressed for school this morning!
And this girl is SO HAPPY to be 34 weeks along :-) I cannot wait to meet my sweet baby! (OK, I can wait a few more weeks.) I am very thankful that the baby and I are doing well and that bed rest is working. Plus, bed rest has given me the patience to re-evaluate my feelings on sequins...now I love 'em!

Occupational Therapist Meeting

I promise this is not going to become a blog about SPD or my pregnancy complications, I just wanted to give everyone a quick update and also share with you what my next craft project will be!

Lately I've been reflecting a lot on Caroline's first few months of life. Wasn't she a cutie? I think she was 6 weeks here:

How did this sweet baby become my head-butting, biting, havoc-wreaking little (terror) toddler? Welcome to SPD. We met with an Occupational Therapist today and she had some wonderful ideas! My favorite one...a head-butting pillow. A special pillow for her to use to take out her frustrations on when she's mad. She can head-but it to her heart's content but she won't hurt herself (or me!) Not only will it fulfill her need for proprioceptive input but it fulfills my need to have craft project I can do mostly from my bed!

Did I mention how being on bed rest puts a slight damper on my crafting? Yeah, it is driving me insane. I wish I had paid attention when my Nana was teaching me to crochet many years ago, but sadly I crocheted a pot holder and got bored and never did it again! That being said, I am so thankful that since our little scare last week the baby and I are doing fine and will hopefully continue to do so for several weeks.

Thank you to everyone who has emailed and offered prayers, they really mean a lot to me :-)

Prayers needed!

My how things can change in a short time! I had to go to Labor and Delivery last night for bleeding and contractions. When I got there the baby's heart rate was in the 200s! YIKES! Luckily once I laid down she calmed down but her heart rate was still a little high, so I had a non-stress test first thing this morning. She is stable now and my cervix is not changing too much, so for the time being those two things are fine. My blood pressure was also high, so I'm being watched for pre-eclampsia.

Please keep me and my little one in your prayers! I'm 33 weeks so I'm sooo close to being at a safe delivery date. Thanks y'all! I will keep you updated!
