It's going to be a Pinteresting Christmas!

25 gifts for $39.00. That's $1.56 a gift! How is this possible? PINTEREST. My new best friend.

***SPOILER ALERT*** If you think you may be getting a Christmas gift from me you will probably see it below, so please don't look if you want to be surprised! I am trying to be as vague as possible as not to give anything away...but it's so hard!

Times are tough. With the country in economic peril and families on tighter budgets than ever, handmade gifts are making a BIG comeback! I've always been a fan of handmade gifts, but this year it seems to be a necessity. Having a large family and many friends is a true blessing, but it can make Christmas on a tight budget challenging. Here are my picks for this year's gifts.

Candied Pecans for neighbor/friend gifts. I must make sure to check with people about nut allergies though! All materials on hand. We have family members that have a pecan tree ;-) COST: FREE

Making some of these to use up mismatched socks. I am even making batting out of mismatched socks. I'll let you know how that goes! Everything from this project I had on hand as well. COST: FREE

Printing these out and laminating them for some little girls I know :-) Cost: about $10 for card stock and laminating supplies.

Some boys in my life are definitely getting fort kits. Easy way to use up flat sheets that otherwise sit in the closet. (Do your kids do this? My kids have never met a flat sheet that they liked, so we they never use them!) COST: 5$ for glow sticks and rope.

This shawl will be perfect for one awesome lady in my life! I already made it (used yummy knit fabric instead of fleece) and I highly recommend it as a quick and awesome gift. COST: $8 for Fabric

I am totally addicted to these scarves. Totally. COST: $9 for yarn.

I'm going to repurpose an old leather jacket from Good Will to make a couple of these for some special men in my life. COST: $7.00 for Jacket

TOTAL COST: $39

How many gifts did I make for $39? 25 gifts! Oh yeah! Taking cheap to a whole new level!

Up next: I show you how I wrap everything in old paper grocery bags and decorate with items on hand!

  1. I had a similar idea this year and made some pintrest circle ruffle scarfs, ear warmers, and pearl jewelry. My challenge now is how to make a paper tag to safety pin along the scarf with details. Did u see anything like that on pintrest? Label samples, or tags? I can't find anything.
