Weigh In Monday

Starting Point: 175

Last Week's Weight: 168

This Week's Weight: 168

Pounds lost: 7

Challenges this Week:  This weekend I fell off the wagon.  Waaaay off the wagon.  Hubby and I went out to eat two nights in a row, then Sunday my sis and her family came over and we had BURGERS.  The last few days were delicious, but no pounds lost this week.  Worth it?  Definitely.

Accomplishments this week:  Hmm, well this isn't really an accomplishment but it's a funny story.  I have been trying to wean Ellie off the boob, which for every other of my beloved children consisted of just taking away a feeding at a time and replacing it with a sippy cup of milk.  Then they would pretty much lose interest and quit on their own.  Oh no, not fourth baby.  When she figured out the booby was going away she started pushing the sippy cup away and saying "booooo".  Then she gets into nursing position.  Then I start unbuttoning my shirt and she says "thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!"  How to you say no to that?!  At this rate she may be breast feeding until Kindergarden.

  2. At least you got to splurge (I think if you can't slurge once in a while you will feel too deprived and eventually quit altogether) and you didn't gain any! Keep it up, you are doing great!!

  3. I had to laugh about your weaning comment...I thought my last would nurse forever too. She *still* asks (at 6.5) "You think there's any milk in those?" NO. She was weaned at 18 months.

  4. That made me laugh. Thanks for keeping it real. I was lucky enough to have the weaning stage be fairly easy with my two girls. Hoping the boy is just as easy.
This last week I decided to run a 5k in June or July. So I am starting to get into the training for this. Shouldn't be hard, just need the motivation to get moving. I have a great friend who is starting me with the training.
    Good luck this next week!

  5. I found that Chocolate Milk is highly motivational! Also, a friend just told me she put a little flavored creamer in her daughter's sippy cup. Good luck!

  6. I have a REALLY good recipe for very healthy turkey burgers if you want it. My dad HATES turkey burgers but I sneakily made these for his birthday dinner and he absolutely loved them. It's definitely my favorite for when I'm having a burger craving- all the flavor and juiciness (from yummy things like green onions and ground mustard in the meat) without all the fat. ;-)

  7. I weaned all 3 of mine using strawberry drinkable milk from Stonyfield Farms. It tastes way better than breast milk. :)

  8. I meant drinkable yogurt. Obviously all milk is drinkable!
